My goal is to help each individual attain a more complete self-understanding which leads to healing, and meaningful and lasting change. I help people develop skills for improving relationships and communication, find new ways to cope with stress and anxiety, and create healthier and more adaptive patterns.
Family Therapy and dyadic child therapy can be necessary to develop better communication skills, resolve conflict and create more flexible boundaries between loved ones. Most families seek therapy because of an adverse event or a crisis such as a significant loss or divorce, behavior or school challenges or constant arguing. Children and their caregivers need support and solutions in order to thrive. Attachment and family therapy can strengthen family bonds by resolving old patterns of interacting and creating space for healthy rewarding connections.
Most couples struggle at some point in their relationship and benefit from additional support. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and attachment theory to deepen connection and safety in a partnership for a more satisfying and secure union. I work with each of you to improve communication and break negative patterns, enabling each person to get his or her needs meet.
I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor and I am available for consultation (in-home, phone/Skype, in-person), training, coaching, and speaking engagements. I can provide online/in-person training to schools and organizations, and present at conferences and workshops. Please contact me for more information.
My fee is $165 for individuals for a 50-minute session and $210 for couples; payment is due at time of service. Check with your insurance to find out if you have an out-of-network benefit that will partially reimburse you for our sessions (I am an out of network provider). I offer a sliding scale to a limited number of clients.
